Dipanjan Chaudhuri is an Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy and a member of the Stavropoulos Center for Complex Quantum Matter. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Johns Hopkins University and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research explores how electronic correlations, coupled degrees of freedom, and wavefunction topology give rise to emergent quantum phenomena and unconventional states of matter. Combining nonlinear terahertz spectroscopy with momentum-resolved electron scattering, his group investigates collective excitations and quantum dynamics, both in and out of equilibrium, seeking new ways to control quantum states of matter and engineer novel functionalities.
