Prof. Xinyu Liu’s research focuses on exploring emergent quantum phenomena in low-dimensional materials and heterostructures, with particular emphasis on quantum transport, spin physics, and magnetic interactions. He specializes in the epitaxial growth, fabrication, and characterization of quantum materials, including semiconductor, magnetic, and hybrid heterostructures. His interests encompass Landau level physics, symmetry breaking, quantum oscillations, magneto-optical spectroscopy, and spin-dependent phenomena. By investigating the interplay between quantum confinement, magnetism, and interfacial interactions, he aims to uncover novel quantum states and engineer functional quantum materials for next-generation quantum and spintronic technologies.
